Love is the Most Important

Looking at Elizabeth Taylor, she left behind treasures beyond what most of us can only dream about but did it do her any good now that she is gone.  She cannot take them with her so her jewels and other personal belongings are on the auction block.

A gift from Richard Burton.

A gift from Michael Jackson.

Love is the most important aspect of our lives.  Without it, we have nothing. We came into this world with nothing and leave with nothing but what we have become and the love that we share.

He that loveth not, knoweth not God; for God is love. 1 John 4:8

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 1 John 4: 11

You are absolutely right Ruth, sometimes we get our priorities wrong.
Sorry,I meant to reply to your comment about our visit to York. How lovely to have had a visit there to discover where your family came from. I would love to hear more, maybe you could do a blog about it.
About Sinatra, Yes we did go in and buy some chocs, Tony has heard of the radio programme too but we would have to subscribe to it via the internet. We have also visited Palm Springs where he is buried and paid our respects.

So true. You can't take it with you, and stuff is only stuff...no matter how lovely it is. we're only caretakers while we're here. But love....That you take with you always! Vanna
