Kansas City here I come

Whew, thought we'd never make it through nothingness to a real city and a large one at that. When we crossed the Missouri River, my granddaughter said "look the ocean"!  Well, how do you explain to a 4-year-old that the gigantic river is not the ocean?


We did pass over a very cool bridge that looks just like the one that my grandson has for his train set.

It was good to see civilization again especially after having to go through a toll road on the interstate.  That was a big surprise to us. It cost $2.50 coming and going so $5.00 in all.
